Seattle based SmartPlug Systems have appointed “Proxam Distribution” as their distributor for France.
Proxam’s managing director Olivier Jurien commented “The French marine industry is always looking for well-engineered, innovative and technically advanced products and SmartPlug have produced a solution for shore power connection which is safer and easier to use than anything currently available and so it’s no surprise to me that even though we are just starting to work with SmartPlug we are already receiving enquiries from both aftermarket and OEM sectors”
Martin Harding, Managing Director of GMA Ltd who manage the sales of SmartPlug in Europe said “There has been a lot of interest shown in SmartPlug since they introduced their 16amp and 32amp European spec products at the end of last year and boat builders and consumers have been quick to recognise that finally there is a better alternative to the older USA style twist type systems that were only ever adopted in Europe because until now there was no good alternative!”
